This plant is part of our 'Home Grown Propagations & Cuttings' collection, please visit this page for more information.

Several pots available, examples photographed. 2 or 3 rooted cuttings in moss in a 5.5/6cm diameter plastic pot.

The Scindapsus has very similar care needs to its cousin the Pothos. You can leave its vines to grow long and hang (which looks especially great in a basket up high) or you can train them to climb up a stake, trellis or moss pole.

This houseplant likes indirect light and really doesn’t want to be overwatered, stick to those two rules and you and the 'Trebie' will get on just fine!

You may also know this plant as the Silver Vine, Silver Cloud, Silk Pothos or Silver Philodendron. Pictus means 'painted' in Latin and refers to the silver variegation mentioned before.

An easy-care, air-purifying houseplant perfect for beginners.

Care:

Light: Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.

Water: Water when the top 2 thirds of the soil dry out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months. In winter allow to dry out further.

Food: Feed fortnightly during the growing season but not during winter.

Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
